Backup Projects Feature

Overview

Protect your projects from data loss with one-click backup that creates a complete ZIP archive of all projects.

On the Project Management screen locate the Backup button.

How It Works

  • Backup Button: Creates a ZIP file of the entire Projects folder (Projects_Backup_YYYY_MMDD_HHMM.zip)
  • Backup Location: Saved to Documents\ezDoc\ folder
  • Complete Archive: Includes all project files, pages, images, and assets
  • Restore Process: Simply extract the ZIP file to restore projects
  • Auto-Discovery: Projects are automatically detected when app starts

What's Backed Up

  • All project folders and files
  • All pages (markdown content, HTML)
  • All images and assets in each project
  • Project metadata (.ezdoc\config.json files)
  • Complete folder structure

How to Restore

  1. Extract the ZIP file to Documents\ezDoc\ folder
  2. The extracted Projects folder will merge with or replace existing projects
  3. Restart the app - projects are auto-discovered from disk
  4. No import needed - projects appear automatically
